Another Crazy (Arm) Gig
Last night was the second date on Crazy Arm’s December UK tour. Lucky for me it was the first weekend i have been free in a while and the gig was in the Croft in Bristol. The lads in the band have always been supportive of my photography and i know from previous gigs at the Croft that its an intimate venue so i grabbed my camera, and my friends and headed out. It was sure to be an amazing night as 6 bands were on the bill and for once i wasn’t driving so i could have a drink.
I really wanted to focus on stepping up the quality and style of my photos for this gig. This is the third set of photos i have done with the band and although i am very happy with the previous results i wanted to take full advantage of how close i could get to the band and the different angles i could exploit. It was a very bumpy ride and i nearly smashed my camera on more than one occasion but the results were worth it. I have kept it as a black and white set due to the poor lighting in the venue (red on one side and green on the other). Its a bit of a cop out but i didn’t want it to detract from the photos. The band have now had a sepia set and a b&w set from me for maybe next time i do a shoot with them we might get a good colour set.
I really hope you like the set, i think its my best band set so far. Thank you as always to Crazy Arm for showing me the support and allowing me to capture such emotion in their music. Please press the Facebook like button on the band page and leave me a message on Facebook!
