Centrefolds Music
On thursday i finally got a chance to try out my new 7D. I was invited to go and see a friends band play at Moles club in Bath and i thought it would be a great chance to get out the new equipment and have a play.
When taking the pictures i was soon aware that i needed the practise with my new camera, all of the extra things that i can do are a big complication when you are used to something much simpler. I struggled through and got a few shots that i thought were OK, i think that was partly down to me, partly the new camera and also the venue didn’t really lend itself to any great shots. I went home not really expecting to find any shots that i would want to put on my flickr and present to the band. I am happy to say i was wrong. The long hours that i had spent in Lightroom doing the Conlon wedding had paid off and i was able to create some really artistic shots that the band loved. Just a personal note: I have had the centrefolds CD for a while now and i have only listened to it once, its well written music but not really my style. Im really glad that i got to see them play as i have totally changed my mind about them and made me realise that i need to sit down with the CD again. Their performance was amazing and they showed how great their songs really are, i will be hunting for their future gigs to go and see them again, with or without my camera.
